REPORTMILL RELEASES RIBS PREVIEW - THE REPORTMILL INTERFACE BUILDER FOR SWING

Dallas, TX - December 10, 2003 - ReportMill Software, Inc. today announced the preview release of Ribs - the ReportMill Interface Builder for Swing.

Ribs finally makes Java Swing development easy, by providing a powerful and easy user interface to GUI design and by offering a clean and simple separation between data and the UI. Ribs offers these advancements over existing solutions:

• Simple drag and drop of UI components
• Absolute positioning with powerful "springs and struts" layout manager
• Simple XML description of UI
• Simple reset of UI from a data model ("Ribs Unified Accessor Model")
• Simple response handling from UI
• "No side-effect" GUI updating

Ribs was used to implement not only itself, but also the ReportMill Java report designer application. ReportMill is offered in preview form now and will be released sometime in 2004.

Availability and Pricing

Ribs will be available sometime in 2004 at a price of $295 per developer.
